it would be difficult to find words for the sick, conflicted feeling in Len's gut. he knew this would have to happen eventually, Kaito had left angry, in no state to be attentive to his own needs, and there was only one place such an attitude could lead. the nightmare of every conscientious vampire.
and yet at the same time... it gave him a guilty kind of hope.
this was a chance to find his son again.
and so, having gained entry to the hospital, he is knocking on the victim's door.]
