[perking up and promptly dumping the chains into a nearby box]

[grabbing a little wooden recorder off of a nearby shelf and coming over to look]

That's okay! I'm not sure if my tuning's right, that's what I was going to ask about, since your hearing's so good... but a duet might actually help me with that a lot!

[wryly] Because it would give you something worse to compare yourself against?

It is, but that won't help much when I finger notes incorrectly. ...I only picked it up in case I needed to get a better idea of the melody.

[pecks him on the cheek and hands him the sheet music to look at]

I just need somebody to help me out with my tuning - you're definitely the best person I can think of for that.

[giving him a slightly startled (although not displeased) glance at the kiss, before looking down and turning away slightly, busying himself with the sheet music]

...Was it just a particular part you were worried about, or the entire thing?

I feel like I'm really off right around here [indicating an area], but it'd be good to check the whole thing.

[nodding a little, and then heading back over to plop down in the pillow pile, humming the bit he had pointed at under his breath more or less in tune before nodding again to himself. beckoning Kaito over to join him]

[nods and flops down next to \o/ he glances at the sheet music again, and starts singing]

[holding it up and fanning it out so that Kaito can read off of it. he doesn't know if the other man really needs it, but better safe than sorry.

...it's hard to focus on what he's singing, though, so much as the fact that he's singing. Miku's sung to him before, but it's only been silly little things and snippets of songs— nothing serious. the only person who has ever sung to him like that was his mother, and that's different than being sung to by— by a lover.

[even more so, no doubt, because this is in fact a love song. the lyrics are somewhat generic, but his voice is full of feeling.

[he's not quite so out of it he doesn't notice that, especially with the nature of the other Kaito's voice. shoving his MYRIAD FEELINGS to the back of his mind so he can properly note the very few slightly off notes, and the places where his voice is a little rough.]
