[Just. Out, somewhere, spending quality time with the weasel and bat.
And quality time means training, of course. Since there's no other Pokemon around, they'll have to make do with battling against each other. Cuts leveling-up time for both of them in half, so, win-win as far as Miki's concerned.
Careful of ice and poison, passerbys. No matter how diligent Miki is in paying very close attention to this action there's bound to be a few things missed.]
[it isn't like either would effect him, or even "hurt". the worst that might happen would be that Father would have to make a few repairs.
watching them fight. ...it doesn't look like the dispute is over food, and as they're not the same type it likely isn't over territory or mates, either. :|a]
[woah nelly that is actually cause for a hint of alarm in her voice.]
Stand down.
[Crobat makes a rather acrobatic loop before landing close to Miki's feet, Sneasel taking a longer moment to stare at the intruder before setting down his fighting stance.]
[Oh my, you have a very interesting look and sound about you, dontcha. She takes a moment to look it up and down before answering. A robot? Strange, it seemed much more...lifeless than the ones she's encountered thus far.]
From what I have observed, the animals present are very different from Pokemon, two of which you see here. Pokemon are highly intelligent, and work alongside humans in the world I come from.
[...interesting, that's somewhat similar to a human expression. filing that away]
Emotions. I collect information on emotional states in different beings, primarily humans. If given further opportunities of this nature I will likely also focus on other sentient beings.
[Her first reflex is "that is dumb and whoever built you with that purpose is dumb."
But on second thought, a study of emotions from a one hundred percent unemotional viewpoint could prove very educational. Not that she could help it along, but she, and the world, could certainly benefit.]
I see. My apologies, I am unable to assist you in this research.
Firstly, strife is present among all forms of life, even among organisms too simplified to have the nervous system required to sustain emotion. While emotions are a transitory phenomenon, they are not a requirement for conflict; they are only what allow it to cause "suffering."
Second, large sections of humanity are already aware that certain types of emotion are conductive to conflict. Several existing religions and philosophies seek to control those emotions through various means with the goal of reducing such struggles.
Lastly, the majority of my research has provided evidence that emotion is beneficial, and a requirement for progress in all sentient beings I have so far had contact with. This is in direct opposition to your expectations.
My choice of wording was poor. You are correct, emotions enable suffering.
While religions have sought to reduce these struggles, they have, at large, been unsuccessful. It is not enough to take control of emotions, as they are, by nature, illogical and obstinate. The only logical course of action is to remove them entirely.
You cannot see this because it is not yet present in order to be observed. Humans are, as the stand, incomplete. They are unable to reach their true potential due to the suffering of the majority brought upon by "negative" emotions, along with "positive" emotions claiming they make their suffering and the suffering of many others acceptable and excusable.
...This is true. I cannot observe a human society without emotion. I am capable of observing myself; but while I am sentient, my thought processes do not match that of a human's.
However... You are human, and you claim to have given up your own emotions. If that is so, then please tell me this: what is your motivation?
