[just... staring at him for a good minute or so, his nose slowly wrinkling as he fits this in and puts pieces together in his head (Len's sleeping habits, the things about his eating habits he'd already noticed, how old some of the things in the house were...)

That doesn't even make sense, though, it only blocks part of sunlight—

Well, it isn't the light itself that hurts us, it's more sort of... the life in it? It's the same as what we get from blood, but in too powerful and wild a form to be used. Like trying to drink from a waterfall. I suppose the sunblock dulls that, mostly? I'm honestly not sure why it works, myself...

I suppose that does give me away a bit. I really ought to donate at least a few pieces to museums... They really don't deserve to languish in a vampire's private collection.

Mmm. I remember thinking something along those lines when I first came here; some of them are really pretty... They'd get proper upkeep that way, too.

But then I'd have to give them up...

Maybe I can start my own museum.

Or you could fund a new wing of a local one, and have them put on display there. That way they would still be yours.

Yes, that would probably be less trouble... hmmm.
