It's— most of the time I don't even notice it, I'm used to it, and it does change, sometimes! There are things it "words" differently than it used to, because I understand them differently...

[and it was one thing, turning off a small piece of programming that he hadn't even been aware existed— but this is something that's been a part of his awareness since he'd first heard someone speak, something that's been a part of him, and the idea that he needs fixing or changing is terrifying]

[the look on Kaito's face is enough to rein him in. he sighs and flops on Kaito, a little sulky]

I'm sorry, I guess it's selfish of me. I just don't like that there's something nice I can't share with you, just because your system keeps telling you it's something bad.

[huffing a little, but starting to relax again]

Not so much bad as different— it just seems to think there should be more control involved on my part...

[C-CUDDLECEPTION?! also damn, it it's times like this that make him wish he could just say things and not have them get stuck in back of his mouth— it isn't fair that he can't reply in kind when Kaito or Miku says those sort of things, no matter how much he wants to give that back to them.

he does the second best thing instead: peeeeeling Kaito off, rolling over on top of him to pin him down, and kissing him— not aggressively, really, just... thoroughly, slow and gentle.]

[... oh kissin time okay. he kisses back demurely, reaching up to embrace Kaito with the arm that's not pinned]

[once he's explored Kaito's mouth to his satisfaction he pulls away a little to nuzzle at him]

[it's not the same at all, but if he doesn't say something it feels like he'll explode]

[don't worry, it is sufficient for dere. he blushes a little and smiles, looking up at him with a deep, honest smile]

[...blushing and hiding his face in Kaito's shoulder again. so bad at this ;;]

[lets out a happy, breathy little laugh and just relaxes, snuggling up under Kaito's weight and warmth.

after a little while, he starts to sing; it's the song they worked on together.]

a little ways in, though, he surreptitiously tries to press his cheek to the side of Kaito's throat. is this where the sound comes from...?]

[it is, actually. the vibration isn't quite like anything Kaito's ever felt, but it's there]

[as far as he's concerned, that makes it more precious, somehow. no one else will feel Kaito sing a love song that they had worked on together just to them— this is a moment that is his, and his alone.

sighing, content, and vaguely wishing for his recorder. or maybe a keyboard...

...he might be subconsciously trying to work out the piano chords against Kaito's skin]
