[ she giggles, looking mightily pleased with herself at his reaction. she'd almost expected to be scolded for saying something like that, but hearing him react so positively is... well, it's nice.

[ her wavering smile finally steadies and she beams at him again, giving him a little nod
and with that she finally makes her way up the path to the little cottage. she raises her hand to knock -- but before she does, she turns back to the path and lifts her hand to wave. ]
[ he waves in return, having waited to make sure she'd get in okay, and then slips off the path and almost immediately vanishes somehow into the foliage. ]
