Because sometimes you love both the split personality and inner demons tropes way too much, and there's only one way to handle it.

THE AU IS RIDICULOUS, but all you really need to know is Kaito got humanity's malice dumped into his head along with ridiculous power, and his way of coping with both that and the trauma involved was to shove it all in with everything else he represses the heck out of and then completely dissociate himself from it. End result: what he thinks of as his inner monster has completely split off into a personality of its own, following the imagery and pattern left behind by the Shadow from that one time the Vocaloid Dressing Room had a Persona event.

[cupping his cheek, trying to urge him up]

[ quiet throaty noise; his voice is a wreck, for some reason ]

[ pushing himself up shakily aaand flopping directly into Harvey, plastering himself right up against him and panting ]

Could you, just— my back, there's a- a spot where the nerves are—

[pushing his hand up under the back his shirt, searching with careful fingertips...]

[ it's pretty much right there, since he's going from the bottom up; just left of his spine on his lower back is a patch of warmer skin with something rounded and plastic in the middle (if Harvey feels that far in— Kaito makes a desperate strangled noise and goes wire-taut the moment Harvey's fingers get within an inch of it.) ]

There, yes, please—

[his fingers don't stray that far. instead he feels carefully around the edge, trying to map it out without overdoing it because that's kind of... scary almost. But Kaito wants it, so he'll do it.]

[ nods jerkily and frees one arm from where he's draped it over Harvey's shoulder to shove down his pants ]

Little— further in, that's teasing, ah, almost...

[his fingers stray closer, then central enough to brush against the plastic, circling the edge of that instead, ever so gently]

[ tensing up tighter as Harvey circles, his hand working between them ]

Ha—

[ and he can't even finish Harvey's name before he's coming, crying out and shuddering so hard his joints rattle with it ]

[pulls his hand away from the port and gathers Kaito closer still as best he can with the one arm. he understands cuddle signals sometimes, okay.]

[ melting in response to that, going impressively boneless while he catches his breath

what a good Harvey. the best Harvey, even. ]

cuddles are a good way not to let on that he's basically just acting because he's refusing to deal with that weird knot of feelings in his chest right now and what they might imply]
