KAITO: SHADOW GARBAGE AU EDITION OPEN POST

Because sometimes you love both the split personality and inner demons tropes way too much, and there's only one way to handle it.

THE AU IS RIDICULOUS, but all you really need to know is Kaito got humanity's malice dumped into his head along with ridiculous power, and his way of coping with both that and the trauma involved was to shove it all in with everything else he represses the heck out of and then completely dissociate himself from it. End result: what he thinks of as his inner monster has completely split off into a personality of its own, following the imagery and pattern left behind by the Shadow from that one time the Vocaloid Dressing Room had a Persona event.

(Please don't judge me.)

Feel free to pick a scenario, if you can't think of one just blank tag this sucker and I'll come up with something!

[ Well someone else is standing up from where he was keeping Kaito company to greet him! Though he does pause to take in Tristan's appearance. Conversely, Jupiter looks young -- 16 rather than 23. And also far more healthy and "put together", missing Jupiter's characteristic eccentric image for a more clean cut and healthy look. Still... he's unmistakably Jupiter. The voice and eyes especially are exactly the same. ]

[Tristan wasn't expecting this remotely, surprised because that's Jupiter surely but it looks almost nothing like him.]

[Even his reactions are more open and honest than the brother Jupiter knows.]

[ Well this hits Jupiter like a ton of bricks, and whatever he was trying to keep together obviously crumbles -- face going longing and distressed. ]

To avoid that, you were able to regain your powers. And you were so powerful, you were able to reconstruct the timeline and reality itself to your ideal.

[He trails off. Just lost. Feeling incredibly distressed and terrified for Harvey and Kaito. Just absolutely uncontrollable distress.]

[ Jupiter... recognizes that. It may never have been so bold on Tristan's face, but he's seen hints of that distress before. ]

... you changed, I won't deny it. But you are still you, at heart. I like to think I am too.

[Nope he's full on panicking. You have a princely presence Jupiter but you're 16, not very reassuring. He just takes a step back, and another, and no he's getting out.]

[ so the nice thing about accidentally tangling each other up in emotional bonds is when Tristan panics and runs, he knows it and can make a beeline back to the room to see if Jupiter is at least still there.

taking one look at him and sighing, quiet ]

[ Rather than reply Jupiter just sits down heavily, not giving chase, instead looking upset and frustrated. ]

coming over and sitting down next to him, both moving slowly enough that Jupiter can object if he wants and keeping some space between them ]

[ But he doesn't protest Kaito's movement. Just... trying to gather himself together, taking a big breath.He can handle this he just needs to think this through be reasonable and see his perspective on this. ]

[he left the moment feelings started happening, but the whole psychic link thing means he really couldn't escape it anyway

but it also means he can recognize that panicked flighty feeling, and try to follow the bond to Tris.]

[As it turns out he hasn't gone that far, to hearts, a room that's long since self-repaired itself from the damage done to it, not in use still for some reason. He's sitting on the floor behind the door just trying to blank out any thoughts at all, humming quietly, eyes closed. His emotions are an unpleasant mess of terror and denial.]

[His only real acknowledgment of Harvey is to stop humming and kind of pull his legs close and lean against the wall like he's attempting to merge with it.]
