KAITO: SHADOW GARBAGE AU EDITION OPEN POST

Because sometimes you love both the split personality and inner demons tropes way too much, and there's only one way to handle it.

THE AU IS RIDICULOUS, but all you really need to know is Kaito got humanity's malice dumped into his head along with ridiculous power, and his way of coping with both that and the trauma involved was to shove it all in with everything else he represses the heck out of and then completely dissociate himself from it. End result: what he thinks of as his inner monster has completely split off into a personality of its own, following the imagery and pattern left behind by the Shadow from that one time the Vocaloid Dressing Room had a Persona event.

(Please don't judge me.)

Feel free to pick a scenario, if you can't think of one just blank tag this sucker and I'll come up with something!

[ STEPPING IN, THEN. And examining the immediate premises! For Kaito and Tristan, it's obvious this is Jupiter... but not how you expect him, either. For one, he doesn't look like he's been put through years of neglect and fighting. ]

[ Tristan himself is nowhere to be seen, although of the beds in the room there are three showing use. ...one more immediately than others; Kaito is creaking his way into a sitting position on one of them, having pretty obviously woken up from a nap. he does, however, look momentarily thrown by the change in Jupiter's appearance ]

...Harvey was right in that Tristan is out at the moment, I'm afraid. You would be... Jupiter, right?

[slouching off to sit on the edge of one of the beds in silence. grump grump.]

[ Glances towards Harvey, but otherwise turns his full attention to Kaito, frowning like he's trying to place him. ]

Sweet, polite, and caring— but he's also deaged as part of a theater payment at the moment.

...Yes, and no. It's how I met him first, and really knew him the longest.

[ There's something sad and awkward in Jupiter's expression, but he's clearly trying to play it down. ]

[ well, that isn't setting off Kaito's protective impulses or anything. getting up so he can properly offer Jupiter his hand, though ]

Ah, I beg your pardon— I'm Kaito Kagamine. I met Tristan while he was playing violin; I'm a musician myself, so we ended up discussing sheet music and went from there.

[ Says this dryly. Like. Of course, it most likely is some kind of magic. ]

The way we got here—and there—most likely is. If you think about it, however, with how many different places people come from here it would be more unlikely for there not to be the occasional situation like this.
