KAITO: SHADOW GARBAGE AU EDITION OPEN POST

Because sometimes you love both the split personality and inner demons tropes way too much, and there's only one way to handle it.

THE AU IS RIDICULOUS, but all you really need to know is Kaito got humanity's malice dumped into his head along with ridiculous power, and his way of coping with both that and the trauma involved was to shove it all in with everything else he represses the heck out of and then completely dissociate himself from it. End result: what he thinks of as his inner monster has completely split off into a personality of its own, following the imagery and pattern left behind by the Shadow from that one time the Vocaloid Dressing Room had a Persona event.

(Please don't judge me.)

Feel free to pick a scenario, if you can't think of one just blank tag this sucker and I'll come up with something!

[Not a bad thing to find his hand on. It's a relief too, to feel someone else alive and here. He's not in the dark alone right now. Though the person with him wants to be anywhere else, he can tell that easily.]

[His fingers curl, he opens his mouth to say something cruel he doesn't mean, but he forgets the honesty effect. All he manages is a tiny]

[And then he clenches his jaw, biting down any other words.]

[It's an order. Orders aren't lies just statements. But it conflicts with what he wants and that is tugging on the bond with an insistently powerful staystaystaystay. He's scared of saying anything else and he's scared of being alone.]

[Except his wants still directly countermand the verbal orders.

[ his hands close on Tristan's shoulders and push him down onto the bed with the same gentle but unwavering force as before before Kaito climbs on top of him and just... lays down, heavy and warm and solid ]

...All you're doing is trading one kind of pain and weakness for another.

[Nononoyesyesyes. He doesn't try to shove Kaito off, tucking his head against Kaito's shoulder. He knows this scent and it used to make him feel safe and warm and he doesn't want it to make him feel anything but his eyes are burning.]

[There's a hysterical edge to his otherwise calm voice.]

[ his voice is quiet, and incredibly bitter ]

[ doesn't reply to that, just curls up a little more comfortably ]

[Just kind of chokes on laughter. Only it's really not sane. Or laughter, for very long. He wraps his arms around Kaito and sobs between hysterical fits.]
