KAITO: SHADOW GARBAGE AU EDITION OPEN POST
Because sometimes you love both the split personality and inner demons tropes way too much, and there's only one way to handle it.
THE AU IS RIDICULOUS, but all you really need to know is Kaito got humanity's malice dumped into his head along with ridiculous power, and his way of coping with both that and the trauma involved was to shove it all in with everything else he represses the heck out of and then completely dissociate himself from it. End result: what he thinks of as his inner monster has completely split off into a personality of its own, following the imagery and pattern left behind by the Shadow from that one time the Vocaloid Dressing Room had a Persona event.
(Please don't judge me.)
Feel free to pick a scenario, if you can't think of one just blank tag this sucker and I'll come up with something!
Warning! There will be a decently high probability of maiming in this post! If you're not okay with that, that's cool; just let me know in a comment header or something and I will have normal Kaito intervene. (Alternately, if you want to get mauled... well. All you have to do is ask :))

We wanted to see you smile. Or upset. Something real. I thought you might have locked that all up the way he did; it smelled the same.
[ sssliding off the bed ]

[Trusting people never gets you anywhere, honestly.]
You may go, if you're tired, go sleep.

I'm a monster, Tristan. Hurting people is what I do.
He tried to warn you.

[It'll be days before he calls for Kaito again.]
no subject
Tristan...?

[He looks over when Kaito enters though, and his expression doesn't lighten.]
You still? How long is he going to sulk?
no subject
We've been trading off. He's just tired.
[ pausing. when he speaks again, it's back in his normal bass, not the more open tenor. also deeply reluctant ]
...have you eaten yet?
no subject
Are you good at accounting? Math?
no subject
I don't think so; I wasn't schooled. ...I do have a calculator built into me, so if it's only basic mathematics I could likely manage.

[Tristan sits up, a small avalanche of papers slides off him and he scowls, biting the edge of his thumb.]
Of course. Damn, how much do you know? Physics? Algebra? Biology? Geometry? You know music. What about your other subjects?
no subject
Religion, philosophy, and psychology. From a friend.

[He slides off the bed, accompanied by more falling files, and stalks to the desk, grabbing a blank page and scribbling a hastily sketched out lesson plan.]
You will find books on each of these listed subjects in the library. You'll spend an hour on each subject up to five hours a day, working on it earnestly. If you have questions you'll ask me. Every five days you'll give me a brief report on your progress, every sixth day you can have off from it.
[He holds the paper to Kaito.]
You may take breaks during study as long as you don't fail the daily requirements.

Understood.

You can start now.
no subject
also no. you know what? if this is how it's going to be he is going to take what he has to do and be an asshole about it. this is officially war ]
I will in a moment. Have you left this room at all today?
no subject
What of it?
no subject
and then leans in, scruffs Tristan, and picks him up— mostly trying to get him slung over one shoulder but he'll just go with a good old bridal carry if he struggles too much for that ]
You need to eat.
no subject
[Of course he's squirmy as hell, shoving at Kaito.]
no subject
Taking care of you.

[ unless you want some portion of Court to see you in your pajamas you might want to take actual action to stop him, Tristan... ]
